From visionary filmmakers James Cameron (AVATAR) and Robert Rodriguez (SIN CITY), comes ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, an epic adventure of hope and empowerment. When Alita (Rosa Salazar) awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize, she is taken in by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this abandoned cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman with an extraordinary past. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious history while her street-smart new friend Hugo (Keean Johnson) offers instead to help trigger her memories. But it is only when the deadly and corrupt forces that run the city come after Alita that she discovers a clue to her past – she has unique fighting abilities that those in power will stop at nothing to control. If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family and the world she’s grown to love.

Rosa is so beautiful, and that translates to the character so well. I always love "girl kicks butt" characters, but this looks like it might be a whole nother level of this type of character. Can't wait to see it.

I am 64 years old,… and I am wondering if I will live long enough (still healthy, but diabetes?!) to see Alita's story finished on film. A major character arc that goes from light to dark over a moderately long period of time because of what the character sees, does, and having to choose between difficult alternatives,…. It's going to be epic!! And even though I believe much of modern SJW feminism has gone way overboard in it's sensitivity to slights,… I am glad that the major protagonist is a young woman. It really does make a better story.

If possible, go see it in IMAX 3D and sit in the 2nd or 3rd row in front. You will be immersed in the scene.

Alita Battle Angel is a great, great movie. I can't wait for it to stream, and I have of course pre-ordered the 4K, and also bought the manga, and the art book, and a few other things. It's that engrossing, and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Please do not let us down. Make the sequel. And when you do, don't water down Alita's character. She is glorious even in her craziest moments.

For all the idiots hating the eyes … she from Mars and the story supposes those bigger eyes are better adapted to low gravity environments. Please make the sequel James Cameron!
