American Underdog tells the inspirational true story of Kurt Warner (Zachary Levi), who went from a stockboy at a grocery store to a two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame quarterback. The film centers on Warner’s unique story and years of challenges and setbacks that could have derailed his aspirations to become an NFL player – but just when his dreams seemed all but out of reach, it is only with the support of his wife, Brenda (Anna Paquin) and the encouragement of his family, coaches, and teammates that Warner perseveres and finds the strength to show the world the champion that he already is. American Underdog is an uplifting story that demonstrates that anything is possible when you have faith, family and determination.

When he walks up to the line at the end of the trailer, is when he got his first home start. I was at that Baltimore game. When Kurt and Co. started to light up the score boards i remember the crowd was looking at each other. We could not believe it. Whats going on here?! We are scoring so much!

Mike Martz was very, very hard on Kurt Warner. He ridiculed him openly in practice, blamed him for things that weren’t his fault, he was constantly trying to get under Warner’s skin.

I think as time went on, Martz was offended that Warner’s success wasn’t completely attributed to his offense. As soon as Warner was hurt and struggling, Martz wanted to replace him with Marc Bulger.

Mike Martz was truly an asshole who ended up showing that Warner was carrying him, not the other way around. Warner went on to revitalize his career and lead another sorry franchise to a Super Bowl. Martz experienced limited success after Warner and was terrible with every other team who kept giving him a chance.

Warner got the last laugh. But I’m sure he wasn’t laughing because he’s a better man than Mike Martz could ever dream of being.

They got to make a sequel to this film showing Kurt's struggles to stay on top in the NFL while not giving into the temptation of cheating like other players were. About

Great message but Acting was was HORRIBLE. I wish Brenda and Kurt Warner could have played themselves in the movie. Would have been twice as good… Ya Levi did not do a good job in his role. Looked like he was lost in space in his vacant stares half the movie.
