Being the Ricardos – Official Trailer | Prime Video
A story behind one of the most influential shows of all time. Here’s the official trailer from Being the Ricardos, in theaters December 10 and on Prime Video December 21.
Lucille Ball (Nicole Kidman) and Desi Arnaz (Javier Bardem) are threatened by shocking personal accusations, a political smear and cultural taboos in Academy Award®-winning writer and director Aaron Sorkin’s behind-the-scenes drama Being the Ricardos. A revealing glimpse of the couple’s complex romantic and professional relationship, the film takes audiences into the writers’ room, onto the soundstage and behind closed doors with Ball and Arnaz during one critical production week of their groundbreaking sitcom “I Love Lucy.”

This movie stunk. And thats being kind.
Saludos Javier desde las Californias. Me gusto mucho "Being the Ricardos." Dios te bendiga! "I love Lucy" is one of my favorite TV shows and I have watched it since the 80's.
Boring as batshit
what did they do to Nicole Kidman? she looks completely different.
This looks like boredom in perfection.
Nicole Kidman absolutely nails this role! She did a great service to Lucile Ball!
I'd like to respectfully apologize. I did not like the cast playing the most influential show of that time ( and generations later). we did not need big names to play desi and Lucy. there had to be better unknown names that could portray them. it's unnecessary to use big celebrities to play their magic. just that fact that the role was of them is enough to follow. as a Hispanic…I expected a closer depiction, appearance wise and the comedic talent of Ms balle deserved someone better. then again…no one could've played lucy. she's a rare and genuine beauty and talent unmatched till this day. viva lucy and desi!!!
gloozy gloozy gluceeee
Nicole Kidman and javier did an amazing job. I can see why some people didn’t like the movie but the actors were great. That’s what made this a good movie (for me at least)THE ACTORS.
I just kept getting distracted by the fact that she looked like Glenn Close here. But great acting and the movie made me look up more information about Lucy and Desi
Not quite physical matches, but has the substance. Think of like in the comics with say Steve ditko having a differing style than Jack Kirby.
Nicole Kidman is excellent actress but no one could impersonate Lucille better then Debra Messing. They picked Nicole just because she is more famous.
I can’t be the only one who is in complete awe of how breathtakingly beautiful the theme song was recreated. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so many different emotions at the same time before… Why must it be so short lived? Why is it not included in the official soundtrack? Why why whyyyyy?! I need it baaaad mannnnn!
Of all the things said about Lucy being a strong personality, and being somewhat dominant in the relationship with Desi… according to sources… It was Desi who was the powerhouse… not Lucy!
I remember seeing Lucy in an early 3 Stooges episode where she sported platinum blonde hair, ala Jean Harlow…
"DON'T F*** WITH THE CUBAN"
Should have been Debra Messing. Sorry.
Now that the awards BS has died down, can we all agree this is a boring, monotonous, miscast film than in no way touches on the comedy genius of Lucille Ball? This is yet another exercise in narcissist Sorkin self-satisfaction. Sterile, wordy, pompous. Just tedious all round.
RIP and long live Lucille Ball (August 6, 1911 – April 26, 1989), aged 77
And
RIP and long live Desi Arnaz (March 2, 1917 – December 2, 1986), aged 69
You both will always be remembered as legends.
Wow, does she have the voice down…

i absolutely love this movie
this movie was great- say what you will about Nicole or Javier (criticisms that have nothing to do fundamentally with the art of acting), but they are actors who know their craft and do it exceptionally
Nicole Kidman completly ruined her face with surgery cant stand her on screen really face looks horrible her acting got ruined because of her surgery expression are gone.
