Never have I been so gripped by a show, I love the way the camera follows the characters, gives such great feeling of depth and suspense, first rate, I hope there's more to come

The series is amazing but I wonder how the zombie can track people even in a long distance ? And most of the people here can't close the door ? And can't aim bullet in to head.

this show is pretty good, with most things being pretty realistic, apart from the guns having infinite ammo and being inaccurate af

The annoying thing is the fact that we are in 2022, where most of us have seen all the old zombie movies so, supposing that all of the characters here have seen them too, they must be all completely dumb to not searching for a common weapon like a crowbar, a hammer or or a handaxe, before doing ANYTHING else. I mean, you not become Ragnar Lothbrock, but at least you have a chance to take thrm down, dead AND living. Black dumbiest summer. Sorry for my english, it's not my language

I honestly have no idea how Stephen King supposedly endorsed this BS. From the very beginning it seems that all knowledge of a headshot being the way to stop anything was never heard of, The deaf and mute guy all of a sudden can scream, to the 90 yr old looking blonde that appears rode hard and put up wet…. this was just terrible.

Having run out of series to watch on Netflix, I came across this. Having got bored with The Walking Dead with its find a bad guy and fight for several boring series with a few dead walking around predictability, I was not expecting much. Being more bitchy and acid mouthed than a gold-digging character from Falcons Crest I expected this to have me spitting bile and random bad language for days after. However, I was so totally surprised and watched both seasons, really enjoying every unpredictable twist and turn of the show and all its characters. If you can look past some of the inconsistencies and slip-ups in the show you will find this to be the best Zombie series out there by a mile. The main characters suddenly disappear and sometimes come back later on, but then some don't. Just when you are warming to certain characters they die or just vanish. There is no one main character, each having just more or less emphasis. Black Summer shows the best and worst in humans in general. Showing how some bad remain bad, some good turn bad, and some bad show good and some good turn bad but not wanting to be, each person showing differing personality traits depending on the situation. A sudden act of desperation shows just how bad a meek and in other circumstances mild and nice natured person can be, only to regret this after, then die or disappear, maybe or maybe not returning later on. New characters arrive, and the same starts again, so do not become used to one main character. It shows peoples unhinged desperation at its best and worst, with genius unpredictability. Bleak and without ideology this series really shows just how flawed and fragile people are when the structure of society breaks down. These walking dead are fast and rabid, keeping the pace quick with the storyline. Worth a watch. You will not be disappointed.

I keep remembering that black summer season 1 was so good but season 2 not so much. I am waiting on season 3 of black summer and hopefully it will be out soon. I love zombie movies and series. The zombie effects and make up are so good in the show and whoever the makeup artist is they did a awesome job. the zombies looked so scary. the script for season 1 was so good .Fast zombies and tons of action. I just loved season 1.

This is my favorite zombie show of all time.
    -Smart zombies
-Groups fight over conflicting interests, not for drama or hate.
-Really good cinematography & color toning.
-Next to zero plot armor, most characters are dead.
-Zombie encounters turn to chase scenes where the characters value their life, instead an action scene.
-Fairly realistic melee and firefight scenes. Lots of pushing and tackling rather than hollywood fistfights, characters miss their shots often.
-Characters are well casted and all have a backstory.
-Each episode in both seasons are fairly interesting and have good subplots.
-Tackles how hard living in winter would be during an apocalypse.

I have notice some small continuity errors, especially during the mansion episode in season two. And in the ending of season one they killed too many zombies and didn't make them feel like a threat.
