Borgen – Power & Glory | Official Trailer | Netflix

Borgen – Power & Glory deals with some of the biggest political issues of our time; the relevance of the Danish Realm in the modern world, the superpowers’ battle for control of the Arctic – and not least, the climate crisis. The main story focuses on the struggle for power and what power does to people – both professionally and on a personal level. The struggle for power – or the struggle to retain power – challenges and changes the characters and Birgitte Nyborg, Katrine Fønsmark and the other central characters are forced to recognise that their desire for ‘control’ is in danger of corrupting them and denying them their humanity and sense of integrity.

Nyborg is the newly appointed minister for foreign affairs when a drilling company suddenly discovers oil in Greenland. An event that marks the beginning of an international struggle for power in the Arctic which develops over the series’ eight episodes. The otherwise so experienced politician, Nyborg, must repeatedly accept that despite Denmark’s ‘big brother’ relationship with Greenland, when it comes to the international superpowers, it is Denmark that is the minor player – and a somewhat unruly one at that…

Я так розумію, що сюжет фільму: "росіяни знайшли бІндероДатчан і прийшли їх звільняти від данської мови". Ну, в цілому, досить реалістично 🙂

Where is the damn publicity???Randomly found out the show was there already and I watched the original, it is on my list! Horrible algorithm! I'm already prepared to love the show only to be cancelled cause people doesn't even heard of it.

What is the point of endless publicity to shows that sell themselves like stranger things, and 0 on a project like this, great but not very known?? Cancel? Netflix sabotages itself.

Increíble but you Danes made It !!!!! Surprisingly terrific new season 11 years later. Loved it. Such an impressive script, casting…. and of course Sidse Babett Knudsen will remain in our hearts and minds as Birgitte Nyborg, one of the best TV carachters ever onscreen; her strength, passion, tenderness, smiles, her sensibility and acting skills are nothing but mesmerizing. Mange mange tak fra Spanien !!!!!

Season 4 and Bergitte was dynamic, fabulous, as usual in control.Greeland greenambition, who gets the slice of cake from the deal is not as important as nature/climate and that to some extent was a sort of awakening for her and specially when Bent pointed out she is now more to be feared and less loveable .Its like history is important only if future exists-let the giant sleep, when it wakes the world will tremble(Nepoleon remarks on China)Powerfull drama.

My only criticism is I don’t know what they have to dub the voices. It’s so distracting. I know I’m in the minority but the joy of watching dramas from different countries is to listen to the accents and hear drama spoken in their native languages. I’d rather read the subtitles

Fantastic show, just wish there was more, I really think this is the best political drama I've seen, it's like a happy midpoint between something like The West Wing and House of Cards. Just right.

Déçu. Très noir. Trop.
