Candy | Trailer | Hulu
A five night event, premiering May 9 on Hulu.
Candy Montgomery is a 1980 housewife and mother who did everything right—good husband, two kids, nice house, even the careful planning and execution of transgressions—but when the pressure of conformity builds within her, her actions scream for just a bit of freedom. Until someone tells her to shush. With deadly results.
Starring Jessica Biel, Melanie Lynskey, Timothy Simons, Pablo Schreiber, and Raúl Esparza.
Three-time Emmy nominee Robin Veith (“Mad Men,” “The Act”) wrote the pilot script and will executive produce. Nick Antosca (“The Act,” “Brand New Cherry Flavor”) will serve as executive producer under his banner Eat the Cat along with Alex Hedlund. Jessica Biel and Michelle Purple (“The Sinner,” “Cruel Summer”) will serve as executive producers for Iron Ocean. Michael Uppendahl (“Fargo,” “American Crime Story: Impeachment”) directed the pilot and will executive produce. Jim Atkinson & John Bloom will serve as consulting producers. The series is from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, and 20th Television, one of the Disney Television Studios.

Can't get over how similar Liz Mcgeever is to Meg Ryan in episode 3!
Now that's one promising hunk of Jessica Biel.
I had No idea that was her
0:25 she looks like Emma Thompson here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So good!
I lived in Wylie Texas during that time and they would never tolerate a black person in their church, let alone socialize with black people. Evidently they added all that "Woke" stuff to the script. Wylie was known as a Sundown Town during the 1970s and 1980s. I wish Wylie was accepting of black people like that, I may have stayed.
Give Jessica the Emmy cause this compelling performance was Amazing!!!!
Sooooo I actually live 8mins from the original house. We actually almost bought it when it was on sale. Also June 13th is my birthday. I wish she would have picked a different day danggit. Now they remember this instead of me. And if you're wondering wylie is still a pretty small town. They lived right by downtown Wylie which is still there. Very weird
Omg and the fact that she got off and became a family counselor is sending me. Oh to be white in America really is like winning the lottery. Especially then.
Super série, elle est tellement juste dans les émotions, dans les réactions. Les acteurs sont fabuleux. J'ai rarement vu un tel réalisme dans un film ou série
So.. WITHOUT spoilers.. is it worth the watch..??
I watched this on accident and wow. It's a slow burn. But wow what a show!!?
It's all right not all that tooooooooo sloooooo[w
Not my style I'm u subscribing

Best role of Jessica Chastain ever!!!!
Candace "Candy" Lynn Montgomery (née Wheeler; born November 15, 1949) is an American homemaker. She was accused of murdering Betty Gore, the wife of her lover. The killing took place in Wylie, Texas, on June 13, 1980. During the assault, Gore was struck 41 times with a wood splitting axe. Source: Wiki
Let’s goooo
Jessica, she looks like she does an awesome job here, I'll check it out ☺️
Jessica Biel is still so fine
I was not expecting that ending not gonna lie it was so ridiculous I can't believe it happened this way!!! BTW great acting
I will gladly wait for Love and Death.
Never seen a movie with so much bad wigs
HBO is so wrong for what they’re putting out. Jessica killed that role. I love what HBO does but I was mesmerized by Jessica’s acting. Can you say NAILED IT? Jessica proved another retelling is so not necessary.
so she kills the wife and is a two-timing psycho… anything more to know about the plot?
Should've called it Candy: I Just Wanna Live in the Moment but I don't Know How.
Candy is still alive. Wonder if you she watched it???
The series is from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, and 20th Television, one of the Disney Television Studios.
Loved the show jistin Timberlake shows up as a cop .
Jessica was AMAZING in this miniseries! I had never heard of this case until I watched this, and it was so gripping and intense. I can’t believe she axed Betty to death, 41 times, and got not guilty!
Axing someone 41 times is 40 times too many to call it self defense. That’s RAGE!
You subscribed to watch that movie. Now what are you going to do with subscription. Enjoy getting charged every month for your one movie.
I remember a movie where the actress looks like Jessica here. And there’s an axe too
