Starring Kerry Washington, Wendell Pierce and Greg Kinnear, Confirmation takes a look behind the curtain of Washington politics, depicting the explosive 1991 Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination hearings where Anita Hill accused him of sexual harassment. 27 years later and the Democrats are trying to pull the same cynical stunt. It didn't work then, and it's not going to work this time. Sorry Democrats, no one is buying your lying and cheating.

Had to rewatch this film after what is happening with the BK confirmation. Clips of the Anita Hill testimony have been playing over and over in my head. And I keep remembering the 'unanswerable question' scene– Washington is a phenomenal actress. But my heart goes out to Hill. I can't believe everything they put her through. I can only imagine what Ford must be feeling.

Who would've known that between 1991 and 2016, 25 years later. This allegation against Clarence Thomas turned into a film. You want to know what would be more interesting? If there was a movie about Dr. Christine Blasey Ford making sexual accusations against Brett Kavanaugh.
