As an artist, Da Vinci has always been a hero to me. But this? This is garbage…from his accent to his hair cut to the actions portrayed…it's all…it's all so wrong. Just…no.

The thing is… the use the brittish accent to indicate it's a European story, similar thing with Spartacus (awesomeness). If what some people want is accuracy, then it should be in Italian with subtitles, just like Spartacus should've been in subtitles with the native tongue spoken. My point is… stop whining about the accent unless you want to read, and I don't think it's mean to be accurate as in realistic, some fantasy never hurts. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Exactly!, pretty much EVERY period drama both tv and movies use British actors and the non British actors use British accents. Spartacus, Rome, The Borgias, Gladiator, those are just a few that are about ancient Rome and all use British accents just as Otreblalllable said. Even the ones that aren't about Rome but any other ancient time and place do the same. People are just determined to nitpick this show big time it seems
