Yeah and my question wasnt meant to be 'antagonistic' either. When most people hear 'swastika' they think of Hitler, evil, mass genocide and all that stuff. But it was actually an old sanskrit symbol that meant 'good luck' or 'good fortune'. My point was just to use your own mind and always keep an open one too! Dont allow yourself to get sucked into the 'norm' or the academically 'accepted' versions of things! thats all!

I have a tendency to freak out over historical inaccuracies but this looks pretty good if you ask me. I just wonder who comes up with this stuff.
apparently one of Da Vinci's well known sodomy trials is this series(they're making him bisexual instead). though i'm sure they still fudge things for ratings. i know watching this'll make me cringe at how off it is. especially when the writer admits to batman as “a primary source” of inspiration(nothing against the batman). who knows, maybe it'll be watchable(probably not). but as the man once said:

sexuality is really hard to confirm however the face of the model used for his "John the Baptist" work matches the exact sketch of a male propped in the same position only he is naked with an erect phallus, along with that collection they more nude sk I think thats more than just rumors, I argue that is physical evidence and that he definitely was "open" with his sexuality.

How bad is it? *Curious* I've been wondering because some are so bad that a person cringes in every scene (Like The Tudors or The White Queen.) whilst others such as Call The Midwives can be overlooked any time the Modern World tries to seep through.
It is too bad this series could not be done in England where they could and Would show such scenes with male homosexuality on regular TV… Unlike the US which needs Paid Channel's like HBO which at the very least had Six Feet Under until 2005… Although now it comes to mind that even that channel does not have any serious male relationships. Females are everywhere but males… *SIGH* To see ANY male relationship has become quite Rare!

WAIT! Hold the phone! MALE nudity has become the "norm"? Since when!? All I ever see are females, females and MORE females! Although I am female and I quite enjoy seeing other women all I can wonder is where are the men? If it is tastefully done, let them have nude or nearly nude women and men. Let us ALL remember: A man's naked chest is NOT nudity, it is the norm! And quite frankly more asexual, than sexual.
If woman are to be shown then let us see more classic pin-up lady and less: "Here is another unattractive lady thrown in to promote a series by selling her sex." Since when are woman with only nipples attractive? Or a lady with only a slight curve surrounding her nipples? Some are aesthetically attractive, I suppose. (Lara Pulver is quite talented no matter how she looks!) But what happened to actual breasts? Give me thick thighs even as long as the lady in question has actual BREASTS!
why does a show need to be 100% historically accurate? its a bad-ass adventure story not a documentary. Is that really how you critique things?
