Marvel Icons Chris Claremont and Louise Simonson give us an inside perspective on Dark Phoenix. Get your tickets now at http://DarkPhoenixTickets.com

This is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet. The film is the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made. It is the culmination of 20 years of X-Men movies, as the family of mutants that we’ve come to know and love must face their most devastating enemy yet — one of their own.

This is so frustrating. Are they adding this guys interview to try to give more authenticity to this terrible film that is about to come out? Because if so he is ruining his own legacy by attaching himself to a film that is going to take a huge crap all over this legacy of Jean and the Phoenix

The issue is not the Dark Phoenix film. It is just rushed. What Chris is talking about make sense. Audience read the comic book and learn the characters, love them. I grew up with X-Men, I know those characters. I know where they are coming from. I know how Jean is important for the team. But you just cannot make a film about Apocalypse and then let audience believe that Scott and Jean have a relationship and the team members love each other. They literally worked one time together. And we see Jean as powerful as a god when she defeated Apo. Now what she is much more powerful and guess what? She cannot control it. Are you surprised? Well I am not. We should have seen "the nice but powerless girl next door"s transformation to "powerful maniac goddess". We should have seen why she is so important, why and what she is sacrificing. Don't get me wrong. I will watch this film and probably love it but as a X-Men fan. This film is not Dark Phoenix Saga stands for. Because what DPS stands for can only be seen with four of five films. It is just rushed. So I hope Jean destroys the Phoenix and the Universe. That would be a nice conclusion.
