Dark Phoenix | Teaser Trailer [HD] | 20th Century FOX

In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

some people says that we just bandwagon hate this movie but when you finally watched it, you could see and understand what are the problems. when jean wanted charles to walk, that's ableist, bro. when quicksilver said on x-men apocalypse he wanted to tell magneto that he is his father, it wasn't happened here. when raven argued with charles about the "x-women", it gained criticism from the fans and movie raters. it affects the ratings and box office gross of the movie, it became the series' most criticized movie.

Imagine if Bryan Singer directed this movie instead of Simon kinberg, the movie was good it just had too many plot points the story was a little messed up if they hadn't done those reshoots it would have been better it still was good, if they had just gotten a different director for this movie.

(at around 24 mins) The mutant singing during the mutant school party is Alison Blaire a.k.a. Dazzler, played by Halston Sage. She is a mutant from the comics who can change sound into light, a talent she used to further her pop-singer career. This was the character's cinematic debut

Tye Sheridan admitted shortly before the film's release that he wore a "muscle suit" throughout production instead of working out.

In her role as Mystique, Jennifer Lawrence is now actually older than Rebecca Romijn was when she originated the role in X-Men (2000).

Olivia Munn was set to return as Psylocke, but ultimately was unable to reprise her role due to scheduling conflicts with filming The Predator (2018).

Sophie Turner studied mental illnesses in preparation for playing the Dark Phoenix.

Simon Kinberg took influence from Logan (2017) in making the film less stylish and more natural.

The film's infamous "X-Women" line uttered by Mystique was rather controversial with fans and critics, especially when the scene in question was used as a promotional teaser. It was seen as a condescending attempt to reference feminism and the #MeToo movement. Ironically enough, in Deadpool 2 (2018), the title character makes a tongue-in-cheek joke about how the name "X-Men" is supposedly sexist.

Michael Fassbender (Magneto) does not appear until 53 minutes into the film.

This is the first X-Men movie to feature the traditional blue and yellow costumes seen in the comics.

Phoenix was originally conceptualized with a "fiery" look for the film. It was revamped in post-production to look more "cosmic".

The film takes place in 1992, the year the X-Men comics were relaunched with new costume designs and a new cartoon show, X-Men: The Animated Series (1992).

This is the first X-Men film to not feature Wolverine in any capacity due to Hugh Jackman (who had played the character since X-Men (2000)) retiring from the role in 2017.

After watching the movie, i'll just drop some of my reviews here:

    1. Michael Fassbender really nailed his performance in acting as magneto, especially his facial expression when his character knew that Jean killed Raven
    2. It was awkward seeing Hank getting angry (for the first time) as if the actor didn't know how to become mad, or because he don't know how to develop his tone or lack of facial expressions.
    3. Storm's character is supposed to be one of the powerful mutants in the x-men universe (based on the comics, i think), but it was the cheap thunder effect that made her weak the entire movie, more like thor's thunder, but on a low budget
    4. Tye Sheridan is also good for the role as Scott/Cyclops, not just him and Jean had a better chemistry(apocalypse and dp), but i like his performance better in X-Men:Apocalypse rather than this.
    5. The fight scene between the X-men and Jean is too short. The X-Men are too weak (i know that Jean is way more powerful than them, but they should make the fight scene a little bit longer or make it satisfying/thrilling to watch so the viewers should be satisfied) but they should add twists where the x-men is about to defeat her, but they failed at the end (smh like that.)
    6. Sophie's performance in this movie is also 9/10 for me, but I wish that she should add movements/accents on her body (esp. hands) while flying, especially when having fight scenes, JUST LIKE SCARLET WITCH. But I really appreciate her performance, both Dark Phoenix and Apocalypse.

At last, I don't think the end scene about Charles' retirement makes sense. Just don't know.

Las elecciones cinematográficas y artísticas son brillantes. Referencias culturales europeas realmente interesantes. Ojalá la cultura europea se representara más a menudo tan bellamente. No puedo dejar de decir ''oh, esto es hermoso'' a lo largo del video. Luz, en serio… el que se encargue de la iluminación, genial.
