i hate the ending where we find out fleabag was the cause of boo's death. it just kinda ruins their bond for me; its like at first you think shes genuinely mourning the death of her friend but after its also her guilt for causing the death of her friend. its just heartbreaking that their friendship ended so bitterly 🙁 i wish we could have a genuine female friendship where they dont fight over a guy or cheat w e/o's significant other

I love shots like 2:25 it really puts you in the shoes of Fleabag. And it hits really hard for me personally because I used to have a best friend like that, who'd sleep in the same bed as I did and used to cry in my arms.
It's a shame I say "used to" now.
She didn't pass away or anything, she just left me, like these kind of moments that we had meant nothing to her.

This show is truly a masterpiece. Sometimes I really wish this series was about the friendship between Boo and Fleabag, with no Boo's death. It's amazing how they made Boo so captivating with almost none screentime (congratulations, Phoebe). Fleabag's grief is just really contagious (congratulations, Phoebe) and it adds a very uncomforting sorrow to the experience of watching the show.
But then I remember how calculated it is… Boo couldn't be alive, she was just too good and good people don't live that long in a world this cruel. There's romance in it, it adds a touch of spirituality to the series (your interpretation of Boo's death might be different from mine but death inevitably brings up spirituality), just in the right amount. Besides that, sorrow is a part of life and so is joy. It's amazing how the show is not made of pure joy, it's actually very dramatic although it makes you laugh 90% of the time. The drama is always in the background. Just like the way we take life in the 21st century: we're never very distant from our problems, they live in our backgrounds, and watching Fleabag we could never get too distant from Fleabag's problems, too.
Also, the grief is very important to Fleabag's character, it justifies so much of her behavior, it's just phenomenal how well thought it is.
This show is legendary and I would live other 100 years just to make sure it is gonna be remembered through the years, although I don't think I'm gonna need to.

When I started this show, I was like "This is gonna be so funny, yay." And while it was funny, my god, I found myself crying just as much as I was laughing. This show has such heartbreaking moments, I was not at all prepared for it.

This show is so good, I can never get enough of it and after much rewatches, I wonder if the only person aside from the hot priest Fleabag ever loved was Boo. Platonic and romantically, Because the way she treats us, the viewers is kinda similar to how she's around boo, and she's truly the happiest with her… So it's really tragic..

Fleabag is amazing, and I love that it ended at a point that felt right…. but after seeing this I've realised just how much a prequel focussed on Boo and Fleabag's friendship would be the absolute best thing. The world would be a better place if we all had our own Boo. Perfect casting too.
