The only thing this film didn't go well was because of the caucasian actors playing the respective roles. Why didn't they make controversy over Dragon Ball Z evolution or The Last Airbender then ?

I figured out on my opinion "Why this movie gone wrong….

    1. Being a Remake of legendary japanese anime movie…whose fan following will remain unbeatable till the Earth remains.

    2. They seriously worked on Scarlett's character but hardly on Batau and Villain actor. There's no any supporting actor in the movie who can matches Scarlett's level except Takeshi Kitano and julliet binoche. Even Batau actor not able to hold Batau's complex aura as like in anime. Villain is seriously pathetic.

    3. Casting a non asian actor isn't the problem at all….but "Why we need a remake of this anime in live" is the real problem.
Hardcore Fans blood literally boiled over this…even me…

Friend: Did u heard that they are casting SCARLETT as Major in upcoming live adaptation of GITS…?

Anyone's first reaction: fucking what!!!!! They are making GITS live…..Hell No…….please god stop them…

    4. Avi Arad (one of the producer): There something wrong with this guy or with the people who dont like him….

and In last I have to say, Some movies are not to be made for live adaptation….AKIRA and GITS are some of those movies….
