This was a great movie! Despite few mysteries as being the main flaws of the film its honestly great and more enjoyable than what people have said. Its only because, so many people judged her for playing this role that as a result not many watched this in the cinema, Still its one of my favourite sci fi movies but, the original won't be topped.
Whoever chose the song for this trailer needs a raise!

This movie is so good it is just as good as the original. I love every little thing about it. It has become 1 of my top 10 favorite movies. It belongs among bladerunner, alien, the matrix, prometheus, terminator, starship troopers, total recall, robocop, star wars, dune and many more of my favorite sci fi movies.

I have seen this movie. Nothing against this movie. She is playing a cyborg and cyborgs have no race. I'm fine with Scarlett Johanson casting. If you have seen the movie, she is a cyborg implanted with the brains/memories of an asian woman. I can accept this and it does sound believable. Unlike that movie, "Crazy Rich Asians", where the main guy(Henry Golding) looks white/mixed but is playing an asian chinese man. That casting of Henry Golding in Crazy Rich Asians is simply ridiculous.
Ghost In The Shell 25th Anniversary Edition Trailer brought me here. This movie and Blade Runner 2049 is the most underrated movie of the 2017, Pure perfection.
So covid is here and im going back to movies that i have not watch in a long time and i remember how hyped i was about this movie i love cyberpunk and this philosophy about what human is, its a soul? body? or something even more and i must say that this movie looks amazing but idk why i dont like it like i love og anime and manga the story is more about memory that shapes our identity and the need to belong than rebellion and the history of seeking freedom in a world entwined with optical fibers. After all movie is not bad but nothing special.
I am watching this on YouTube and it seems that scenes are clipped short. Actions are not completed before jumping to another scene. Is this the design or a truncated version?

This movie betrayed me (hard) back then, but, damn, this trailer is good :' D
Such a disaster of a film. As a long time fav of the manga and anime, I was really expecting something great, but when I heard ScarJo was cast I knew it would be a disaster. I like her as an actor, but she was wrong for the role. They screws up the very well developed original storyline, and whitewashed all the characters. But I was willing to forget about all that.
The spider tank was terrible, it looked sickly, and so many things were wrong with this movie that I hope the studios learned their lessons with this major flop.
They changed he Major’s name to “Mira” WTF?!
I was willing to overlook the crap that Hollywood always does when they interpret Japanese material and screw it up, but they REALLY screws this one up.
Not only was it the white savior trope anew, but they botched this willingly despite there being so much source material already.
All they had to do was do a Disney and remake the Lion King frame by frame almost, BUT they just went rogue and ended up having a box office disappointment.

She gave it no life at all.
Even in the first movie she is able to switch bodies. I don’t think the casting was a big deal.
Overall, it’s not perfect, but I still enjoyed it. It’s solid. I liked it.
Movie was a flop.
