I thought it was less John Wick and more Atomic Blonde mixed with Shoot 'Em Up (Clive Owen protecting the baby from Paul Giamatti and his goons). Also what is it with female combat scenes and the need to do the wrap-legs-around-neck throw? It's like a trademark move now especially if you're a female assassin.

This looks like John Wick….. if you have no imagination and you watch more than one action movie. Seriously that feels like a really a lazy comparison, either to say it looks good or to imply that it’s unoriginal. Comparing is a waste of time. Just about any action movie could be compared to 20 other movies, but all that matters is if you like it.

When the trailer was first released I was sold. Lucky for me, I forgot most of the trailer by the time the film was released and I was in for plenty of… well, maybe too obvious surprises.

I’m surprised I forgot Lena Heady was in this, but nearly cr**ped my pants when I saw her enter the scene. I really only remembered Karen Gillan (who I adore from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and the ‘Jumanji’ remakes) and Michelle Yeoh, who’s arguably my favorite martial artist, were in this. Everyone else were a nice surprise!

I felt like I hadn’t seen Paul Giamatti in anything recently and thought it was kind of nice to see him. Though his character really is just a pawn for the badass women in this flick!

Those two actors I mentioned above, Karen and Michelle, were enough of a sell for me. I knew Quentin Tarantino was showing an early screening at his New Beverly theater, with a Q&A with some cast and crew, so I knew it had Tarantino’s seal of approval before going in.

I was worried at first that the film wasn’t going to use this wonderful cast of women they had brought on board and thought it might end up just being Karen Gillan’s movie, which I would’ve been fine with, because she really did own the hell out of this movie and all of her other roles she plays, but was pleased they utilized them so well in the 2nd half! Especially my girl, Michelle!

It was nice to see Lena too, especially outside of the medieval and fantasy realms. I had just seen her recently in a film I recommended called “Fighting with My Family” (2019) in which she’s also terrific in!

Carla Gugino was a favorite since Robert Rodriguez’s “Spy Kids” films as the mother and in some of Zack Snyder’s films like “Sucker Punch” (2011) and “Watchmen” (2009). It took me a second to recognize her, but once I did I was so happy to see she was in this! And Angela Bassett, I had never seen in action quite like this before! She killed it! Such an awesome little team of librarians!

It felt like “Kill Bill” and “John Wick” especially with the strange world rules they’ve created in modern day around assassins. Very fun, action packed, best team of women I could ask for, and one helluva bloody ride! Many props to Navot Papushado and team! You guys rocked this! Check out “Big Bad Wolves” (2013) too if you get a chance! Also by Navot!

Since most of the American men have either been killed or maimed in the past 21 years of war and many many others are gays…Hollywood is trying to encourage female Americans to take their place in the future American wars… Therefore they had to go back to Hollywood, their brainwash headquarters, and tell them to make violent "Female" movies to recruit girls into the Military and CIA… This is just the beginning more and more will be made…It's so sad…
