Wow, full of massive spoilers. They just didn't care back then huh?
American Film Noir
That WONDERFUL theme! David Raksin wrote it OVER A WEEKEND, after he persuaded Otto Preminger that Preminger's original idea — to have the movie's theme be Duke Ellington's "Sophisticated Lady" — didn't do this enchanting movie justice. (Johnny Mercer didn't add the lyrics until sometime later). One of the best-spent weekends EVER.
