When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

I really like the old pacific rim because:
-The camera angle make a small point of view to see how gigantic it is
-The jaegers animations looks more real and more machine like
-Its more accurate on not letting the kaijus getting in the citys rather then just pacific rim uprising where there is a teenagers who clearly only want to fight with kaijus but not protect the citys

First time I saw this trailer was in the cinema and all I'd heard about it was that Guillermo del Toro was making a kaiju film. Nothing more. So when the glados voice came on, and the guys in the sci-fi suits came out, I go right on the edge of my seat going "what…" Then the jaegers get shown and I am laughing with joy because that is an amazing thing to get blindsided by.

THIS IS THE BEST TRAILER OF ALL TIME
The first Guillermo del Toro film I saw in a movie theatre and this trailer still reminds me how good that moment felt back in late summer of 2013.
"We've chosen to believe in each other. Today we face the monsters that are at our door."
This was very inspirational before the 2020 pandemic…
