SHOWBIZ KIDS is executive produced by Bill Simmons and written & directed by former child actor Alex Winter, whose childhood experiences in show business inspired the film. Winter also relies on the perspectives of many of his peers to explore the complexities of growing up under the glare of Hollywood’s spotlight, refusing to shy away from the more difficult truths about the industry.     Re the kid from Fla Marc Slater and his stage mommie Melanie saying "oh we've always told him you don't have to if you don't want" blah blah. The kid who yawns during audition. Well of course he's never going to tell those two parents NO he doesn't want this, ya know? He's trying to do whatever it takes to make mommie daddie happy he's not going to just say (between yawns) this isn't his gig. But those casting directors they can easily tell he's not into it. I could tell. He's a cute little ham-it-up kid but he's lacking that little extra it takes. Plus the casting directors they can tell he'll pork up soon like dad.

    That blonde mother and father they show taking their kid to lessons it almost seems like they are forcing their son into this mix. Infact all parents in this seem to be pushing their kids into this almost like it’s their dream not their kids it’s sad
