Actually it's unknown what happened to the real Spartacus. After his last defeat a lot of his army scattered and fled and he possibly escaped. The only known records are that someone CLAIMING to be him was seeking refuge and was turned over to the Romans and executed.

Guerilla tactics are great but in the cases of the Spartacus and the Apaches, they ultimately didn't work. George Washington and the Patriots succeeded but they also did a lot of "conventional" fighting during the time period as well.

They also got help from Connor.

Spartacus first defeated Lentulus, who had attempted to surround the slaves, and then both Gellius and the praetor Arrius, who had recently slain Crixus and his Gauls. Spartacus' horde collapsed Cassius' center, slaying many of the legionaries, and Cassius barely escaped with his life. To appease the ghost of Crixus, 300 Romans were sacrificed or forced to fight each other as gladiators FACT i better see this !!!!! in the show

crixus is going to get himself killed- he is going to move away from spartacus with his own men-thinking he can be a better leader…I love crixus, but he was jealous of spartacus at the house of batiatus- he mellow out since then..but his new powers is reinforcing who he really is. Gannicus will become a leader under spartacus! in real life this is how the story goes..I hope I am wrong

Here is how I see the rest of the season playing out. Episode 3: we will see Spartacus strike a deal with the pirates, he will have to make the larger of the two choices, accepting that in order to win a war, you have to make some morally questionable decisions, such as teaming up with a group such as the ciciliian pirates, and the question of their reliability looms, hence the title Men of Honor. Tiberious also seems to meet Mummius, historically one of Crassus, more trusted leaders

provoking Tiberious to lead an assault against Spartacus which will end in failure, given Crassus warning not to tempt engagement. This will either result in Tiberious capture or simply a retreat that will earn him his father's anger and allow Caeser to take command. This defeat leads to Decimation where Crassus is angered by the defeat of his legions and uses this tactic to instill discipline in his men. It is also reported that at this time, Gannicus is trapped behind enemy lines.

so he will emerge as a leader with Castus. I'm not sure of his fate, historically he died with Castus later in the war. Crassus will have Caesar infiltrate the city, either to discover its weakness or do much of what Spartacus did, or even rescue Tiberious, if he was captured. This will lead to the assault on the city and its capture, hence Spoils of War, a roman term, Spartacus and Crixus now at seperate goals fight, Crixus wanting to fight and Spartacus favoring retreat. Crixus

leaves the group, I see Naveia staying, she appears to be with Spartacus in his final stand. Agron and Nasir, very questionable as to where they die. The later episodes are described that Spartacus tries to secure a bargaining chip to reach a deal with Crassus, and I believe they will kidnap Kore or fail at this attempt, either way proves to be interesting. Crixus will die in combat, and Spartacus will gather the last of his men for a final stand. He will kill Tiberious

and his friend because Spartacus killed two men on his charge towards Crassus in the final battle, and Tiberious will charge Spartacus trying to earn his fathers respect. Spartacus's end is tricky, but I imagine, he will die, but the his death ends slavery as we know it, many will die so all can live free.

Spartacus is said to have killed two centurions who were guarding Crassus. I highly doubt they will make Tiberious one of them……since he is portraying the older son of Marcus Crassus, who was also called Marcus. It was typical in them times for the oldest son to be named after their father. I am guessing they changed his name to Tiberious in the show to avoid confusion for viewers. They kept the name of his other son, Publious, true to history.

    From episode 1
Publius to Marcus "Is it true, you ride with an army against Spartacus?"

Marcus to Publius "As to defend the republic, as is the duty of all Romans."

Publius to Marcus "I'm a Roman, I will go with you."

Marcus to Publius (laughs) "Aw, if you were of an age to stand by your fathers side…..now go to bed, Publius…and dream of future laurels".

    Publius to Marcus "Yes Father".
