Wouldn't it be nice if the government could bye them a one way ticket back to Africa? They complain about America then leave, enjoy you're wakanda in Africa. Plenty of American wealth-made, African Americans, put your money where you're mouth is, go back to Africa and build you're utopia. Strange how the only prosperous part of Africa is the southern tip that the British empire conquered and used as a shipping port, stock yard and military base.

Oh my goodness, when I pulled up The 1619 project on the web I couldn't tell what this was. Was it a book? What is a NYTimes article or a long series of articles? Was it an app you download do listen to? Was it a film or document or documentary series? Or was it a film? Very confusing.

I started seeing the name HULU and so there was a clue right there.

This one video finally shows me it's a documentary series! THAT HAS TO BE MADE CLEAR ON ALL MEDIA! Otherwise it won't gain traction.

Personally I think 1619 is well researched and well written. The fact is slaves were brought to America even at that time a British colony, sold to people living in America, and even when America was free from Britain and a country of it's own, some Americans kept buying slaves and holding them hostage against their own will. Fair credit and respect must be given to 1619, but in all fairness the deaths of hundreds and thousands of Americans who fought against slavery should be credited and respected?
