The Adventures of Ford Fairlane | #TBT Trailer | 20th Century FOX

Ford “Mr. Rock n’ Roll Detective” Fairlane is experiencing problems, and it’s not with the opposite sex. One of them is that all the rock stars pay him with drum sticks, koala bears, food processors and bicycle shorts. Another one of them is that all his employers that want him to find a girl named Zuzu Petals get killed. Why didn’t he become a fisherman’s detective instead? A must-see for Wayne Newton and Andrew Dice Clay fans.

Dice got an unfair shake. All the backlash from womens groups at the time caused the producers not to premier or promote this movie. He had three picture deal and they bought him out of the other two before this movie even was released. Dice was way ahead of his time- it helped him and inevitably Hurt him. In todays world he would only be mildly offensive

Think I managed to see this not long after it came out. Being in the Uk that was a big deal. It's a properly solid movie, and Andrew more than proves his chops as the movie progresses. The trailer over-advertises certain cast members who barely make an appearance, but that was the vogue of the time, but Mrs Presley was certainly wothy of her high billing.

EMF even had a Hit song about the Guy. The film dropped while I was serving a three year stint in the USArmy Europe. An instant hit with all the men. Sometimes, instead of hitting the disco we would rather stay in the barracks and throw this on the VCR. It is that good. What the world could use now is a new Frank Sinatra & more Andrew Dice Clay. Bam!
