I didn't like this movie much in general but the couple of Ruby and Liam made me watch it several times =)) Such cuties and great chemistry indeed. Now they are on my list of my favourite cinematographic couples =)

Having seen the movie now, this is retroactively one of the worst trailers I've ever seen. Doesn't really capture what the movie's about and its tone and it also shows what's basically the end of the movie.

Hate to be a critic, but the most disappointing thing about this trailer was that they didn't get Suzume's hair right. In the books (which i've read multiple times <3) she's got really short hair that looks like it was recently (by about a month) buzzed. They experimented on her so she didn't have hair.

    A BIT OF SPOILERS!

    Read at your own risk.

I read the first novel in the series, and watched this afterwards. Honestly compared to other movie adaptedtions of books, this wasn't bad. All the characters met their descriptions (except Ruby, but I kinda like the movie ruby design better) I like how they kept Chubs being the comedic relief, and kept Zu to her basic character traits. They did change Chubs color into a green, which I did originally believe he was because he was very intelligent and never used his blue powers. The story was basically the same, except the ending while they were still at the camp, it was a bit different. But honestly it was a pretty good movie, no major complaints. (the best thing they kept in was the part where chubs and Ruby found the radio station to the camp, and how they celebrated together and bonded, my favorite book and movie moment)
