The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – Main Teaser | Prime Video

This September the legend begins. #TheRingsOfPower

Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

As for me the most moving scene was when Galadriel says to Elrond: "You have not seen, what I've seen… Attack ships on fire of a Shoulder of Orion. I've watched C-beams glittered in the dark near Tannhauser Gate." Truly unforgettable moment

For all the himbo’s that still don’t understand how bad this is… Let’s say there is a Da Vinci exhibition in New York, but he only painted white people. So maybe we can paint over the existing paintings to add new people so some can relate to the paintings more? And no it’s not that it’s “JuSt” a story that it is worth less. Tolkiens world is literally the direct insperation of all modern fantasy story’s. And having the oldest fanbase ever. Tolkiens Lore are a crucial part of Anglo-Saxon literature and culture. And must forever be protected… literally nothing to do with racism, very easy to call it that.

My favourite part is when Galadriel finds the matrix of leadership, speaks the magic word "Shazam" and turns into the leader of the Thundercats whilst crushing every single white male she meets along the way in her Megazord.

This comments section is so much better than what this farce is going to be. Fin unicorns sticking fingers everywhere. Just because you move your launch date to anniversary of creator's death doesn't mean he somehow approved this.

This looks stunning – visually beautiful. I’ve read and loved the Lord of the Rings and I found the Silmarillion not as engaging. I don’t know the second age characters beyond Galadriel, Elrond etc so I cannot wait to watch this. If anything could stir the imagination and look utterly enchanting – this is it!

The speech Galadrial gives right before jumping on an eagle herself to join the fight of Mordor “We will not go quietly into the night. We will not vanish without a fight” so inspiring so independent

Sauron befriends Adam Baldwin in high school, and through their friendship, he learns to have confidence in himself. That’s the basic theme, and it’s very Tolkenesque. True strength always comes from within. Sauron being the one to defeat Matt Dillon in the end was the ending I needed, but didn’t expect. I began my Prime membership to save on shipping, and now it’s more about life. Thank you….you weird degenerate billionaire, thank you.

Oh my GOD did you see the scene where Elrond rides a Trex into battle at the Alamo and says "Life uh…finds a way" right before he kills Thanos and the Xenomorphs?
Brilliant, just the way Tolkien wrote it.

That scene where Galadriel beat up Rocky in a boxing match in the middle of the battle of Endor to win the heart of her non-binary pagan polygamist trans-Korean love interest was just so awe-inspiring! The writing is pitch perfect, taken straight from the mind of Tolkien they/themself.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, they actually shot the scene where Galadriel kills Jesus and uses the dragon balls to wish for her bottom surgery and to rewrite American history to be more inclusive! My heart sings! Tolkien couldn't have done it better himself!

They did it! They actually filmed the scene where Master Chief turns to the Powerpuff Girls and says "One other thing, I think it rips through your clothes when it takes over" and then takes off his armor to reveal he's actually Galadriel but they're intersex and African-American! I-I can't believe it!

OH MY GOD the orgy scene between Galadriel, Disa, and a bunch of the female hobbits where Disa turns to Galadriel and says "I see dead people." Just glorious, I'm seriously in tears right now.
