You cannot stand in 2022 and judge comedy of 1950s. It was a different time. People interacted and perceived differently. Things which are common conversations now were not so back than. Just look at everything else. Hell, look at the style of news reporting if not anything else. Its not a comedy show. Its a show about a comedian in the 1950s.

Humor based on taking cheap shots is not respectful or of real talent.

We so often see stories hacks doing stylistic suck that it's actually refreshing to see a fictional comedian whose comedy routine is really good.

I love the show, it's hands down one of my all-time favorites. She's lovely, impeccably stylish, smart as a whip, and about 1% ethical.

    However, she is not funny.

    (Let the hating commence).

I love this show so much. However, as a stickler for historical accuracy, I do wish the writers would take a bit more care to keep the 2020s out of the dialog. Words/phrases that weren't around in the late 1950s and early 1960s: "onesie", "truth-telling", and "you got this."

Rachel Brosnahan nailed the role. I became a big fan of hers after seeing this show. And Amy Sherman-Palladino's script is really great too. I am so sad that this show is ending after season 5.
