Brilliant movie. Not some teenagers trying to save the fiction world. This is real life real event.
Still the ending is too short to enjoy

Isn't it about time that American movies stop putting in scripts of people yelling and fighting with each other? It's just not realistic and frustrating to watch.

The state of Washington doesn’t prosecute anyone under the age of 8. The sister wouldn’t have been responsible. Kate didn’t need to take blame. But I guess Kate didn’t want the sister to live knowing she killed someone.

This is a great film! I didn't understand why she had to take the blame? At the most she would be charged or making the kid have access to the gun. Perhaps served a much lesser sentence and still be part of sister's life?

Needs that "I shot the sheriff reggae song", she would be loved by many ppl in actuality, only conservative small-town flks would have a grudge towrd her.

One of many movies with Sandra Bullock i would watch again and again. This movie shows how good she is in the acting world, it isn't a romantic comedy movie, its a sad, happy yet touching movie to watch.
