Per IMDB, looks like Lan is currently only in one episode of the first season. I’m hoping IMDB just hasn’t updated the episode casts completely just yet

The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the Prime of Amazon. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of time. But it was a beginning.

The wind blew east, over The Boys, once the bastion of Amazon Prime Video, past the Ogier masons working on the Lord of the Rings, until it blew to The Wheel of Time, blowing loose a trailer.

Me when I was watching the Netflix Witcher :

    – African kid removes his hat to reveal pointy ear
Okay, so they made the elves black, that's acceptable
A few episodes later Filivandrel shows up.
Hmm ok, so there are blacks, asians & whites among the elves, just like humans – that's fine

    – Ciri enters the forests with the elf kid to reveal all the dryads to be African women
What?! Aren't dryads supposed to be…y'know green and wearing…leaves & branches as per the books? What's going on here?
    – They never put Ciri through the tests, she doesn't almost flunk them & nearly get herself killed, they just give her their sacred juice no questions asked & Geralt never visits the forests to interact with her to develop a connection.

    – Zerrikanian warriors are strong black women !! ( when they could've easily made them Arab-looking ).
Wtf? Are you going to tell me next that there are white Zerrikanians too?

In short, going woke turns the original fantasy IP into an ethnically confusing mess which new viewers cannot get immersed in or fully enjoy.

Don't keep high hopes for this one.
