The X-Files: I Want to Believe | Online Trailer | 20th Century FOX

In grand “X-Files” manner, the film’s storyline is being kept under wraps. This much can be revealed: It is a stand-alone story in the tradition of some of the show’s most acclaimed and beloved episodes, and takes the complicated relationship between Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) in unexpected directions. Mulder continues his unshakable quest for the truth, and Scully, the passionate, ferociously intelligent physician, remains inextricably tied to Mulder’s pursuits. In Theaters Friday July 25.

This movie is so underestimated, good story, great acting… on par with the episodes that were not about aliens, it's different from the first movie and I found it more satisfying…

I didn't know they had 2movies or I would've been looking for it. I remember hearing Fight The Future wasn't any good as a kid, but that's ridiculous! Watched it for the first time last night, it was awesome! I don't understand where these over critical assholes come from to influence my decisions?! X-Files is like no other amazing & intriguing! Maybe these jerks of the past were aliens pushing the hush hush agenda? I can't remember who said they weren't any good & whoever they were are no longer in my life. I sense something deeper here.!.

This could’ve been better. It didn’t quite strike the right tone. A film in a Vince Gilligan style monster of the week would’ve worked better. Maybe Mulder could’ve been hiding out as a fugitive and then he convinces Scully to investigate an X File he’s come across on the internet and they end up solving a string of bizarre murders that defy explanation; but all in an epic, adventure film, that draws in the audience and maintains the tone of the show in its prime. A bit like in season 6 when Mulder would find his own x files and coax Scully into accompanying him. The best part of this film was Scully’s coat, it gave me coat envy.

There HAS TO BE A 3RD MOVIE! X-Files is not done till the last movie is made to complete the mythology. We have all waited patiently for the true finale of this amazing show and the Alien invasion we were promised. Whether the movie is a Disney Plus exclusive or released in theaters, it has to be greenlit. Don’t worry Fox execs, the movie would do well because it is the one we’ve all waited for. Not to mention X-Files is more popular than ever.
