Don’t the athletes obtain full athletic scholarships from the university (i.e., UNC, Penn State, UCLA, Ohio State, Arizona, etc.)? Essentially, they are getting paid. They merely choose not to finish their college education past a sophomore year. I’m sorry… But, there are people in this country who can’t even afford shoes for their kids & can barely put food on the table… Yet, college kids playing on a full scholarship to, 99% of the time, an elite university are also getting paid… And, we won’t even mention what the NBA pays the players coupled with all of the millions earned in endorsements. And, I’m not singling out the NBA. I state that about all of the professional sports.
